The Vice-Rector for Sustainability, Cooperation and Healthy Living has decided to award the student of the Master’s in Tropical Parasitic Diseases of the 2023-24 course, Davis Jesús Márquez Guzmán, the Master´s Thesis award at the 16th edition of the Manuel Castillo Awards 2025, consisting of 400 euros.

The Master´s Thesis titled “Epidemiología de la Fascioliasis Humana en Zonas Andinas: estudio de la provincia de Lucanas, Ayacucho – Perú” led by Master’s professor Dr M^a Adela Valero Aleixandre, defended before a court obtaining a rating higher than 7/10 points, has been recognized for the appropriateness of the methodologies used, the approach based on human rights and capabilities, the link to a program of international cooperation for development and to cover a topic related to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 5^th Master Plan of the Spanish Cooperation and the 4^th Master Plan of the Valencian Cooperation.
