The World Health Organization calls for reflection on the importance of the fighting against these diseases
Every 30 of January, the World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day is observed. This date serves as a reminder of the launch of the first WHO’s roadmap and the London Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD).
The purpose of the World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day is to reflect about the suffering that these diseases cause, to give praise to those who work facing the difficulties these diseases entail and the achievements of the global NTD’s community, and to achieve a greater support for the control, suppression, and eradication of these diseases, in accordance with the programmatic changes and the goals established in the current 2021-2030 roadmap and the commitments acquired under the Kigali Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases of 2022.
On 30 January 2024, join WHO and the global neglected tropical diseases community.
