Throughout the month of June, the students of the Master’s Degree in Tropical Parasitic Diseases are doing laboratory work experience corresponding to “Epidemiology and diagnosis of parasitic diseases.”
Throughout the work sessions in the laboratory, students will be learning how to diagnose different parasitic diseases through the application of numerous techniques. They are not only trained in traditional techniques but are also introduced to the most latest modern techniques.
On the one hand, in the work on parasite coprology, they have used the microscope for direct vision, concentration techniques, various dyeing techniques, counting, etc. On the other hand, in haematological work, they have not only identified the corresponding parasitic forms, but also the vectors involved, carrying out entomological, malacological, etc. studies.
