The University inaugurates the Clinic of Psychology

The Universitat de València has established a new centre (Clinic of Psychology) in the Network of University Clinics. Therefore, the number of social and sanitary services provided by the Universitat de València are about to increase. Although the clinic had already been operating for a few months in the building of the Faculty of Psychology, it was finally inaugurated on Friday.

The Network of Clinics of the Universitat de València has inaugurated a new centre, the Clinic of Psychology. It had already been operating since October 2017, though.  The inauguration event took place in the lobby of the Faculty of Psychology. Many healthcare professionals, representatives of the professional schools and members of the university community were present at the event.

They remarked the importance of this Clinic in order to complete the educational and researching activity of the University, as well as the social services. Then, the attendee took part in a guided tour throughout the facilities. The Principal of the Universitat de València, Mª Vicenta Mestre; the Director of the Lluís Alcanyís Foundation, José Manuel Almerich, the Director of the Clinic of Psychology, Antonio Capafons; and the Dean of Psychology Mª Dolores Sancerni attended the ceremony.

The new Clinic and the Network of University Clinics of the Universitat de València are managed by the Lluís Alcanyís Foundation. All the clinics are provided with unique healthcare training equipment to improve the formative activities of the students of the Universitat de València and the researching activities of this field of knowledge.

The Clinic of Psychology of the Universitat de València is located at the Blasco Ibáñez Campus in the Faculty of Psychology. It is integrated in an urban environment and is very accessibility to the citizens.  The Clinic has excellent facilities to perform services of the highest quality. Patients and users can now take advantage of a wide range of services: individual treatments, group interventions, treatments for couples and children, family guidance and advice, assistance in vital crisis, court proceeding, griefs, occupational health, burnouts, aging, etc.
