Last Tuesday, October 24th, the Bachelor's Degree in Optics and Optometry received a visit from Professor John Barbur from City University of London, within the framework of the EVER23 congress in Valencia, where he participated with six oral presentations and in a panel discussion

John Barbur is the Director of the Applied Vision Research Centre at City University of London. His research spans both fundamental studies of visual mechanisms and clinical and applied research. He has developed new methods and instrumentation for analyzing components of pupil response, spatial vision, and chromatic sensitivity, as well as measuring light scatter in the eye.

On October 24th, he conducted a seminar on his research for fourth-year Bachelor's students studying Psychophysical Methods for the Detection and Monitoring of Visual Pathologies, as well as for faculty and fellows from the Department of Optics, Optometry, and Vision Sciences, and students from the Master's in Advanced Optometry and Vision Sciences. Subsequently, he toured the psychophysics laboratories of the Bachelor's program.
