The recent visit of Dr. Zane Jansone-Langina from the University of Latvia is a new cooperation within the framework of ERASMUS - FORTHEM.

During the week of 7-11 April, we had the opportunity to share several activities with Professor Jansone-Langina.

She was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Physics Enric Valor, the Vice-Dean of Studies María Amparo Díez and the Mobility Coordinator Rosa Mª Hernández. We made a tour to show her the Burjassot Campus (UV), the facilities, especially those related to the degree in Optics and Optometry, and also the project of the new building.

During the week, a meeting was held with the faculty of the Degree in Optics and Optometry and the Master in Advanced Optometry and Vision Sciences to exchange impressions of the work of both universities and to discuss possible new collaborative projects.

On Thursday 10th April, the fourth year students of the Bachelor of Optics and Optometry and the Master of Advanced Optometry and Vision Sciences attended the seminar Analysis of Clinical Cases for Optometrists given by Professor Jansone-Langina at the facilities of the Optometric Clinic of Les Clíniques - Universitat de València. The students' active participation demonstrated their interest and commitment to quality clinical training.

This activity strengthens international academic relations and reaffirms the commitment of the Universitat de València to innovative, multidisciplinary and global education in the field of optometry and vision sciences.
