The Universitat de València establishes the quality assurance such as systematization and continuous and structured timing of quality of degrees and centres, always oriented towards improvement.

The Internal Quality Assurance ensures a balance between the actions promoted by the university institution and the external quality assurance procedures managed by the Ministry and the autonomous communities.

The design of the Internal Quality Assurance system was certified by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA) on October 2008 and since then it has been implemented in all UV centres, with the support of the computer tool that manages this process. We want to emphasize that the UV was one of the first Spanish universities to achieve it.

The objective of this tool is to facilitate the management of centres and degrees by completing all aspects derivate from the VERIFICA programme and from the monitoring of the degrees.

The process of implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance system started at the three centres that participated in its design:

  • Faculty of Law
  • Faculty of Pharmacy
  • School of Engineering

Gradually different groups of interest have been created and implemented at the rest of centres of the UV, which included this Internal Quality Assurance system in the verification reports of the degrees.

We are going to present, schematically, how the design of the Internal Quality Assurance system was carried out:
