The University of Valencia and the Alzira City Council have convened the XXVII «Estudi General» European Award for the Dissemination of Science, in collaboration with EdicionsBromera, within the framework of the Ciutat d’Alzira awards. The amount of the award is 12,000 euros and the original submission period ends on Friday, September 17.

A work on the oxygen molecule wins the XXVI European Award for the Dissemination of Science
The chemist and doctor in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Álvaro Martínez Camarena (Valencia, 1992) has won the XXVI «Estudi General» European Award for the Dissemination of Science with his work Lo común y lo extraordinario. El oxígeno: historia íntima de una molécula corriente (‘The common and the extraordinary. Oxygen: an intimate history of an ordinary molecule’), in which he analyses the key role of this element in science and culture. The researcher has received the award, convened by the University of Valencia, endowed with 12,000 euros and delivered virtually by the rector of the institution, Mavi Mestre, this Friday afternoon, within the framework of the “Ciutat d’Alzira” Literary Awards.

The University of Valencia and the City Council of Alzira have convened the XXVI “Estudi General” European Award for the Dissemination of Science, in collaboration with Edicions Bromera, within the framework of the Ciutat d’Alzira Literary Awards. The amount of the award is 12,000 euros, and the deadline for the submission of originals ends on Monday, September 7.

Pere Puigdomènech wins the XXV European Award for Scientific Dissemination with a work on the challenges of food
Exploracions pel planeta del menjar (‘Explorations on the planet of food’), by disseminator Pere Puigdomènech (Barcelona, 1948), is the winning work of the XXV «Estudi General» European Award for Scientific Dissemination, endowed with € 12,000 by the University of Valencia. The winning work has been known during the Premis Literaris Ciutat d’Alzira gala, this Friday, November 8, a cultural event attended by about 700 people. The rector of the University of Valencia, Mavi Mestre, handed the commemorative trophy to Pere Puigdomènech.
