On Tuesday, April 1st, the event "Women and Motherhood in Hispanic Cultural Production" will take place at the Espai Cultural, led by Dr. Luz C. Souto Larios.

The event is part of the Cultural Week at the Faculty and aims to present the virtual exhibition Madres, el portento quebrantando las sombras, created in collaboration with the Humanities Library, based on the work from the course "Literature, Theatre, and Cultural Products: Projection in Today's Society."

The debate forum will open with a roundtable titled "Alliances and Synergies Between the Humanities Library and the Master's Program in Advanced Hispanic Studies," with participants Eva Montilla Navas, Don Martínez Aliaga, Elisa Pastor Planells, and Luz C. Souto.

The students who have developed the video-essays will play a significant role in four panels where topics such as female genealogies, the fictional construction of motherhood, the sinister imaginary, fractures in sociocultural models of femininity, and the empowerment opportunity of the maternal figure will be discussed.
