Exposing a case. A general perspective: the Universitat de València. Mrs. Mercedes Elizalde Monteagudo, Delegate for UV Students and Mrs. Laura Guzman Taberner, Higher Information Technician for Sedi, Universitat de València.

The curricular training of all universities includes complementary activities of cultural, athletic, voluntary or participative nature, among others. Their goal is to promote comprehensive training for students. Hereinafter, this set of practices will be referred to as “complementary curriculum”.

The event will be dedicated to study the foundation or statute of these practices, to describe their variety and analyse the different issue they raise, to investigate their sources of origin and corresponding determining tools, the internal organization of each university and the recognition tools.

Finally, the goal of the event is to find converging elements and cooperation between universities, so that agreements such as those involving forms of recognition can be adopted at the state level.

9:00-9:30 a.m. Presentation: the networking experience of the Atalaya Project’s Cultural Observatory. Mr. Antonio Javier González Rueda, Commissioner of the Second Strategic Plan of the University of Cádiz and Mr. Salvador Català Romer, Director of the Cultural Activities Service of the University of Cádiz.

9:30-10:30 a.m. Presentation: knowledge and recognition forms of the activities carried out by the different Universities. Coordinated by Mrs. Adela Valero Aleixandre, Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Service at the Universitat de València.

•    Correspondence between extracurricular activities and transversal competences (Project Tuning) in EHEA Undergraduate Degrees and situational analysis at the Universidad de Granada.

•    Cultural Passport at the Universidad de Castilla – La Mancha.

10:30-11:00 a.m. Coffee break.

11.30-12:30 a.m. Group dynamic for a coordination study between universities on national territory.

12:30-1:00 p.m. Sharing and conclusions.

A space will be enabled at La Nau’s cloister during both days of the event so that the participating universities can show work-related content on posters or graphic material.
