Synopsis:
The film is set in the 17th century and illustrates the life of the great philosopher René Descartes. With this film Rossellini tries to reflect the author’s thought and the life events that marked him. The film dramatises the interest of the philosopher in the new scientific theories and his discussions with famous astronomers.
