The Alicante Town University Venue will present on 20 March 2012, at 20:15, at the Miguel Hernández room, the documentary.

The documentary ‘La Batalla de Varsovia’, about the history of the Hospital of Toulouse founded by the Republican guerrilla in 1944 and which becomes the main referral health service for the 150.000 exiled people in Southern France. In the presentation of the documentary, a production of InfoTV for the Museum of the History of Medicine of Catalonia, will participate Àlvar Martínez Vidal, researcher of the IHMC, and Juli Esteve, scriptwriters and directors of the film, and Josep Bernabeu Mestre, Full University Professor of History of Science.

Furthermore, and in addition to the collaboration of the López Piñero Institute for the History of Science and Medicine (Joint centre of the CSIC and the UVEG) the documentary has the support of the: Memorial Democràtic (Government of Catalonia), the University of Valencia, the University of Alacant, the University of Miguel Hernández and about fifty people and entities led by the CCOO of the Valencian Country.
