The Chair of Intelligent and Sustainable Territories held a presentation of the content and functionalities of the Connecta-Valencia platform on Thursday, November 27th, at the Casa de Cultura of Montserrat addressed to municipal technicians and members of the municipalities of the region of Vall dels Alcalans.
The contents of this tool, its function and objectives were explained during a session that made use of the platform itself in real time.
The audience learned how to access Connecta-Valencia, the dashboards and other features. The information covered by this service allows management decisions to be made based on real data, generating new services and business opportunities and, in short, improving the well-being of citizens while maintaining sustainability policies.
Connecta-Valencia integrates data from the network of sensors deployed in the municipalities of the province of Valencia, processes it, and offers it to the public through different channels. The sensors capture information on meteorology, such as temperature, humidity and wind, air quality, noise, mobility, and parking availability.
Likewise, the platform records water consumption and energy production from solar panels. Concentrating the available information in a single portal is one of the platform's advantages, as is the use of a common exchange format.
The presentation in the Casa de Cultura of Montserrat is in line with the objective of the chair to promote digital transformation in the rural environment, encouraging the development and implementation of technological and sustainable solutions, favouring the competitiveness and innovation of the business fabric of the territory.
