The project «ICELAND-INV18. Uptaking of EN eInvoicing by public authorities in Iceland» (Action No. 2018-EU-IA-0056), co-financed by the European Union's Connecting Europe Facility, is concluding this month. The action, coordinated by University of Valencia, LMT Group and Unimaze, has focused on updating the eInvoicing platforms of 8 Icelandic institutions, allowing them to receive and process eInvoices compliant with the European eInvoicing Standard (EN16931).
In this way, the initiative has been aiming towards the uptake of the EN16931, mandated by the Directive 2014/55/EU, including both syntaxes UBL 2.1 and CII. The action has worked on enhancing the cross-border eInvoicing B2G transactions in Europe and contributing to the deployment of both the eDelivery and the eInvoicing Building Blocks in Iceland.
