The AS4EDI19 and EURINV19 projects presented by the Integrated Laboratory of Intelligent Systems and Technologies of Traffic Information (LISITT) of the IRTIC during last year’s CEF Telecom call have been approved by the European Commission. The research group coordinates the projects and has already started working on them, which last between 16 and 18 months, and involve several companies from the public and private sectors.

The objective of the AS4EDI19 project is to promote the use of the eDelivery DSI (Digital Service Infrastructure) among public and private sector entities integrating the AS4 message protocol and their Service Metadata Publishers at seven certified access points from different member states.

In this way, the 7 access points of the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) providers linked to the project will implement their services from AS2 to AS4. The eDelivery is a network of nodes in which each participant becomes a node; thus, companies, public administrations and citizens can exchange data and electronic documents in a secure manner.

As for the EURINV19 action, its main goal is to give support to companies providing EDI. Its ultimate objective is to promote international eInvoice transactions in accordance with the European standard.

In this sense, the project will allow the 14 EDI suppliers that are part of the consortium to implement their digital billing solutions to meet the requirements of the European standard in relation to international transactions. The improvements will adapt their solutions to comply with directive 2014/55/EU (eInvoicing Directive) and the legislation of the countries where they operate.
