Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS, begins to teach the subject Decision Making Theory at the Universidad Central del Este, Dominican Republic, within the exchange program between this University and the University of Valencia.

Decision Theory deals with the study of decision theory from a rational perspective.  It is a theoretical-practical subject in the area of Business Administration and Industrial Engineering, whose objective is to promote the development of competencies for the analysis of the environment and the existing conditions among diverse options that facilitate the process of optimal decision making and involves elements, characteristics, factors, tools and criteria for the election of the best alternatives.  The teachers as facilitators of the process plan and guide the student in the construction of an autonomous and significant learning, which shows through structural work on opportunities for improvement within a company or genuine projects involving comparisons and subsequent choice of the best course of action.  These activities will be evaluated under the criteria of creativity, quality and authenticity.
