On Friday, 12 June 2026, the University Institute for Traffic and Road Safety Research (INTRAS) at the University of Valencia will present a comprehensive study on motorcycle and moped crashes on interurban roads covering the period 2017–2024.

The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. with attendee registration and a welcome coffee. At 9:20 a.m., the study findings will be presented by Luis Montoro, Professor of Road Safety at the University of Valencia, and Ignacio Lijarcio, PhD in Psychology. A question-and-answer session will follow at 10:00 a.m., with the event scheduled to conclude at 10:30 a.m.

The research examines the evolution of crashes involving casualties, identifies the main risk factors, and places particular emphasis on run-off-road crashes, one of the most significant crash types affecting motorcyclists. The study has been carried out by INTRAS in collaboration with Metalesa Road Safety.

Participants may attend in person or follow the presentation online after registering.
