On 19 July 2022, INTRAS received Dr. Leonel Fernández, President of the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), of the Dominican Republic.

Dr. Leonel Fernández, who was President of the Dominican Republic on three occasions, wanted to take advantage of his visit to Spain to meet with the Vice Rector for International Affairs, Dr. Carlos Padilla, and with the Director of INTRAS, Dr. Francisco Alonso, in order to exchange views on the collaboration agreement between the two institutions and to get to know our facilities.

FUNGLODE is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the study and training of the various sectors of the social, political, economic, democratic and international sphere of the Dominican Republic and aims to contribute to the formation of a critical core of Dominican society, through academic excellence, exchange with universities and research centres of national and international prestige.
