The University of Valencia has launched the Science Production Portal, a free access tool to give dissemination and visibility to the science production and transfer of the institution’s researchers, aimed at the university community and society. Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) can enrich their file by adding indicators and production, with identified access.

Currently, the Science Production Portal includes 202,779 publications, of which 131,334 are science articles, which come from 4,490 researchers. Also included are 481 research groups, 14,449 theses and 75,877 documents in open access, from the middle of the 20th century to the present day. The information is grouped by departments, centres and institutes; articles, book chapters; read, directed or tutored theses and there is also transfer production (research results and patents). The production is incorporated from Dialnet, Scopus and Web of Science, and from the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.

The management and maintenance of the Portal falls to the Libraries and Documentation Service. The PDI can add unreflected scientific production to the portal, as well as use other utilities such as downloading the curriculum in CVN format or downloading the normalised impact of publications in Scopus, among others. You can use the help guide or send queries through La Biblioteca Respon.

The Portal was launched in beta version in October 2023 at an open science day organised by the Library and Documentation Service during Open Access Week. Since then, the data provided has been improved: number of researchers and researchers indexed on the Portal, improvement of affiliations and areas of knowledge or incorporation of research groups, among others.
