The Valencian Institute of Public Administration (IVAP) will recognise six seminars from this year’s Gandia Summer University for public administrators from the Valencian Community.
The public administrators of the Valencian Community will be able to have six seminars from the Gandia Summer University recognised as training.
The seminars offered in the field of gender equality are: ‘Awareness-raising, recognition and professional measures to combat gender-based violence’ and ‘Tools and recommendations for adolescents and young people against gender-based cyberviolence.’ This training can be of interest not only to teachers, but also to technical staff of local social and community services, law enforcement authorities, psychologists, educators, social workers, etc. The seminars are also supported by the UV Equality Unit and the Department of Equality of the City Council of Gandia.
The third seminar is entitled ‘Psychology in primary health care in the Valencian Community Advances in research and treatment for anxiety and depression in primary health care’. This highly-specialised seminar aims to shape and implement a psychology project for primary care that provides scientific and professional support for the new Law 8/2022. It will also focus one of its sections on the IAPT Project in England, an international reference for psychological treatment in primary care.
The recognised seminars in the field of law are: ‘New trends in family relations – civil and labour perspectives’ and ‘Social impact of civil guardianship of persons with disabilities.’ Both highly-specialised seminars are designed for social workers, lawyers, public prosecutors, teachers, school counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, public workers in social welfare and education departments and employees of public entities.
Finally, the IVAP recognises the seminar ‘Forest fires – Environmental impacts, management and planning in the face of global changes.’ This seminar is aimed at public administration professionals who participate in territorial planning and the management of forest fires, such as firefighters, administrators, environmental technicians, city council members and government planning employees.
Registration is now open for all six seminars and can be completed online via the Gandia Summer University website. The Universitat de València welcomes this collaboration as a way of improving the training of public administrators.
