The visits to the University gather almost three thousand people at the live sessions

From March 22 to April 7 2946 people participated in the Visits to the University as part of the Conèixer programme. The recordings of the informative sessions given by the teaching staff from the faculties and the school, and the guided tours given by the students from the Universitat de València are available on the thematic webpage Conèixer la Universitat.

For second year in a row the University Visits have moved to online mode because of COVID-19, but maintaining, as every year, its objective: to show to the future university students the degrees and services offered by the Universitat de València. For this reason, informative online sessions have been offered in which professors of each centre have explained the offered degrees, and the most relevant information for future students. The participants had the opportunity to ask their questions through an online chat.

The recordings are available on the Conèixer la Universitat portal with other information resources to help in the process of choosing higher education studies: audio-visual tours of the centres prepared by the students of the Universitat de València, and a drop-down menu with the most important information about each of the degrees offered at the Universitat de València (description, profile, useful information, credits, cut-off marks, weightings, etc.).

2946 people assisted to the live sessions. The most followed sessions where the ones from the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, The Faculty of Pharmacy, and the School of Engineering (ETSE). For its part, the guided tours prepared by the students have so far accumulated 2300 views.

UNIferia: The Virtual University Studies Fair

As part of the Conèxier programme the Universitat de València participated in UNIferia Degrees, on 26 and 27 of April and UNIferia Master’s Degree on 3 April, the virtual university studies fair promoted by CRUE. This virtual fair, the most important in the university sector, makes it possible to overcome geographical and temporal borders to provide information and guidance from the participating institutions through a virtual platform to the students who are deciding about their academic future. The SeDi Information and Promotion Service has been in charge of the virtual stands and has answered the doubts of the UNIferia visitors about the academic offer, the access system, scholarships, etc.

Forthcoming events of the Conèixer la Universitat programme

In June it will be held a session about access and entry to the Universitat de València for both the university students and their families. This session, that will be online, will review aspects such as entry, pre-enrolment, enrolment, how waiting lists work, fees and exemptions, scholarships, services, and resources of interest for the university experience. At the end of the explanation, questions from the audience will be answered via an online chat.

Conèixer la Universitat is a programme of the office of the vice-principal of studies coordinated by the SeDi Information and Promotion Service with the collaboration of the Audiovisual Workshop and the participation of all the Universitat de València centres.
