
During the meeting on 27th of January 2026 at the headquarters of the Institute of International Economics, the members of the Evaluation Commission of the Fourth Edition of the ValenciaPort Chair Awards of port economics, after the individual reviewing of the Master´s Thesis presented during this year´s awards, they unanimously resolve the following:
- The presented Master´s Thesis on the Fourth Edition meet the requirements, in terms of subject matter, formal presentation and the quality of the content to be evaluated favourably. The Annex details the assessment received for both Master´s thesis is each of the criteria established in the Call for Applications.
- The Master´s Thesis presented by Dr. Cristina Esparis Badenes, titled ¨Planning a terminal for the offshore wind industry at the coastal dock of the southern basin of the Port of Castellón,” is awarded First Price in the Fourth Edition of the ValenciaPort Chair of the Port Economics Award with the price of 1,500 euros.
- The Master´s Thesis presented by Dr. María Ballester Díaz titled ¨Assessment of the potential of South Africa and the Port of Durban as strategic hubs in the current maritime context¨ is awarded a Second Prize of the Fourth Edition of the ValenciaPort Chair of the Port Economics Award with a price of 750 euros.
