About me: I work as a Ramon y Cajal fellow at the Instituto de Física Corpuscular, a joint research center of the University of Valencia and the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) in Valencia, Spain. I carry out research on theoretical aspects of gravitational physics. My interests so far have focused on three main areas: black holes, cosmology, and quantum gravity. In particular, I have studied the properties of quantum fields in curved space with emphasis on the process of black hole evaporation via Hawking radiation and the generation of primordial perturbations during inflation. I am also working on the possibility of explaining the cosmic speedup in terms of dynamical equations different from those of General Relativity. Currently I am also exploring different approaches to Quantum Gravity from different perspectives, including lessons from solid state physics. My work is carried out in collaboration with other researchers in Belgium, Brazil, China, England, Germany, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweeden, and the USA. You are invited to browse my publications for more details on my work (with an updated list here).
