Funcas is a private non-profit organisation created and financed by CECA, as part of its social-charter investments, to carry out activities that will benefit Spanish society, promote a culture of saving and help raise awareness of the services savings banks offer to the community.

Funcas is particularly active in the promotion and publication of research and studies on economic and social issues.

Funcas was classified as a Private Educational Foundation for Promotion by the Ministry of Universities and Research on December 22nd , 1980, and was subsequently included on the Ministry´s Cultural Foundations Register.

  • Chair for International Finance

The Chair for International Finance was created in 2007 under Santander Bank’s auspices

Its main objective is to carry out training, cultural, research and university extension activities aimed at a permanent improvement of knowledge in the field of international finances.

Particularly, the above mentioned Chair centers its activity in the organization and development of training activities such as courses, seminars, sessions or master lectures; in the development of research programmes related to finances; in supporting the publication of articles, monographies, book chapters and books on topics related to the Chair; in developing cultural and disseminating teaching and researching activities which may be related to the Chair and promoting mobility among undergraduate and postgraduate degree students in activities related to the Chair.
