The Institutional and Corporate Chairs of the Universitat de València were established in 1993 to facilitate long-term collaborations between the UV and various entities, institutions, corporations, organisations and even individuals.

The UV Chairs are designed as collaborative tools for corporations and external institutions, both public and private.

Due to their structural characteristics, the UV Chairs enable stable and wide academic collaboration across many areas of knowledge, extending to all the areas of the university activity, including teaching, research, innovation and dissemination of science, technology and culture.

AIMPLAS

AIMPLAS (Technological Institute of Plastics) is a leading technological centre for research, development and innovation in the field of plastics and composite materials. Founded in Valencia in 1990, the Institute offers consultancy,, applied research, training and development of research services in various sectors related to plastics, such as the automotive, packaging, construction and agricultural industries, among others. Its mission is to promote business competitiveness and sustainability through innovative solutions in the field of plastic materials. With a highly qualified team and advanced infrastructure, AIMPLAS contributes to the development of technologies and products that promote efficiency, sustainability and progress in the plastics industry, on both nationally and internationally.

The collaboration between AIMPLAS and the Universitat de València has led to the creation of a joint chair, which marks an important milestone in the synergy between academic research and industry. Office of the Vice-Principal

The following responsibilities have been delegated to the head of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Sustainability, Cooperation and Healthy Living:

  1. Proposing and implementing the Universitat de València’s policies on sustainability, cooperation, healthy living and occupational risk prevention, in particular:
    • proposing and monitoring initiatives within the scope of Sustainable Development Goals;
    • promoting and monitoring thedevelopment of collaboration programmes;
    • developing a volunteer cooperation programme;
    • designing and monitoring actions to promote healthy living;
    • developing and monitoring plans for occupational risk prevention through public health and occupational health initiatives.
  2. The presidency of the Safety and Health Committee
  3. Calls for grants, awards and other aid, as well as enacting resolutions and other administrative acts within its sphere of competence, with the exception of those expressly delegated to other bodies of the Universitat de València
  4. Proposing and monitoring of agreements in its sphere of competence.
