As part of the CEELOMLOE project (PID2023-150590OB-I00), researcher Pilar Sanz is undertaking a research stay from September to December 2025 at the Faculty of Education of the University of the Balearic Islands, thanks to a research stay grant funded by the Vice-Rectorate for Research of the University of Valencia under the Talent Attraction program.

The main objective of this stay is to evaluate current advisory practices in special education centers (CEE) in the Balearic Islands. To this end, visits to different CEEs across the Islands are planned, along with several semi-structured interviews with both professionals working in these centers and the families of the children who attend them. The purpose is to gather their perceptions and attitudes toward the inclusion processes being implemented following the publication of the LOMLOE (Organic Law for the Modification of the LOE). This was one of the objectives initially proposed for implementation across the four autonomous communities included in the project: the Principality of Asturias, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, and the Balearic Islands.

To carry out the project, Pilar Sanz previously completed a research stay at the University of Oviedo, where the project was launched in the Principality of Asturias. This stay took place from September to December 2024 and was funded by the Department of Education, Culture, Universities, and Employment. During this period, Dr. Noemí Rodríguez Fernández and Dr. Juan Antonio Posada Corrales, members of the CEELOMLOE research project representing Asturias, participated actively.

From February to June 2025, the same objective was implemented in Catalonia and the Valencian Community. In Catalonia, Dr. Sonia Jarque Fernández from the University of Barcelona and Dr. Laura Amado Luz from the Abat Oliba CEU University took part. In the Valencian Community, the interviews were conducted by the two principal investigators of the project—Raúl Tárraga and Pilar Sanz—along with two team members, Dr. Irene Lacruz-Pérez and doctoral candidate Ángela Segura-Pérez.

This second research stay, carried out from September to December 2025, aims to complete the set of interviews in the fourth and final autonomous community participating in the project. In this case, Dr. Sara Bagur, a member of the CEELOMLOE research project representing the University of the Balearic Islands, is collaborating with Pilar Sanz in conducting the interviews.
