The “20x30 Advanced Digital Skills Summit” brings together leading policymakers, educators, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss the future of Europe’s digital transformation. Among the distinguished participants are Francesco Molinari and Gianluca Misuraca, key members of the AISECRETT and AI4-GOV projects, who will contribute their expertise to advancing the conversation on AI-driven capacity building and digital upskilling in Europe.

Enriching European AI Training Agendas

Molinari and Misuraca’s participation highlights both projects’ commitment to aligning with the latest EU trends in advanced digital education, AI competencies, and governance innovation. Their insights are expected to feed directly into AISECRETT’s and AI4-GOV’s research on AI-enhanced learning pathways, ensuring that the projects remain at the forefront of digital skills development and public-sector transformation.

The event will feature:

  • New insights from the Advanced Digital Skills State-of-Play Report and the Women in Digital Index;

  • Keynotes and panels addressing the future of AI, cybersecurity, and next-generation networks;

  • Networking sessions fostering dialogue on leadership pathways for women in technology and strategies to reach 20 million ICT specialists in the EU by 2030.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Francesco Molinari emphasized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in strengthening Europe’s digital workforce:

“The DEP Call Topic challenges us to build a digital Europe capable of training 20 million ICT specialists by 2030, while promoting gender balance and inclusivity. This goal is not just about filling vacancies—it’s about shaping a new generation of professionals who can merge sectoral knowledge with digital innovation.

Artificial Intelligence should not be feared as a force that replaces human capacity, but embraced as a partner that amplifies creativity, collaboration, and informed decision-making. AI can unlock new ways of thinking, allowing people to explore uncharted ideas, innovate faster, and make better, more strategic choices.

Through initiatives like AISECRETT and AI4-GOV, we aim to demonstrate how AI can enhance human potential, transforming learning environments and work ecosystems into spaces where technology and people truly co-create Europe’s digital future.”

Towards a More Inclusive Digital Decade

Europe today counts nearly 10 million ICT professionals, but fewer than 20% are women. Achieving the Digital Decade’s 2030 goals will require coordinated efforts to close both skills and gender gaps. Events like the 20x30 Summit create vital bridges between research, policy, and practice, empowering projects such as AISECRETT and AI4-GOV to integrate real-world insights into their methodologies.

The Summit will take place in Brussels from 12–14 November 2025.
Stay tuned for programme updates and join the dialogue on how Europe can connect, learn, and lead its digital transformation.
