The new European Democracy Passport, available from spring 2024 and in 24 official languages, makes easier the citizen participation in all the European Union, the biggest transnational democracy of the world, with their 27 member States, 300 regions and more than 100 000 towns.
Do you want to change the education system? Do you have problems with poisoned food? Do you want to move lorries from the road to the railway? Or do you have problems to register your company beyond frontiers? EU citizens have many rights and they also confront difficult decisions, but they need to know which options do they have to influence in matters and in which fields.
This European Democracy Passport, published by the European Economic and Social Committee (CESE), offers descriptive files, general information, clues and guides about all the aspects of modern European democracy, including a group of participation resources and a detailed manual about the European Citizenship Initiative (ICE), updated in December, 2023. Whatever you want to do as an individual -complain, solving problems, make something out from your rights as a consumer, debate or present a request- this little pamphlet, available in your own language, could be the key for success and change: Get it, use it and share it.
