In the EU, the big platforms online have the responsibility of protecting us from disinformation, illegal content and disloyal practices. They are obliged to follow the stablished norms in the Ley de Servicios Digitales, the first exhaustive legislation of the world aimed to guarantee a safe and fair digital environment and preserving freedom and democracy. In a plenary session celebrated on September, 2024, the members of the European Parliament debated with the European Commission about the observance of this Law.
