SYNOPSIS

In Victorian England, a famous opera singer is murdered. Her young niece, who lived with her, is sent to Italy and the case remains unsolved. There she studies singing and marries her teacher’s piano accompanist.

After the honeymoon, the couple moves into the murdered singer’s former home, where the young woman begins to hear strange and inexplicable sounds as the gaslight dims.
