Summary
Drawing on the history of the nuclear accident at Reactor No. 4 of the Vladimir Ilyich Lenin Nuclear Power Plant in Chernobyl, this article analyzes its consequences—both at the time and up to the present—from two perspectives: the human and the technical, with a focus on nuclear energy. As part of this discussion, the article examines the humanitarian program for Chernobyl children in Cuba and its impact.
