On 29 June 2022 the 1st workshop on promoting sexual health in individuals with intellectual functional diversity: Saludiversex, was held in the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy.

The research group Salusex has organised this workshop with the purpose of bringing together representatives and professionals from the two entities of the Valencian Region that have participated in the development and the optimization of SALUDIVERSEX, an affective-sexual education programme for individuals with intellectual functional diversity (IVASS and COPAVA). In addition, we were lucky enough to have opportunity to hear the opinions of participants who have received training through the SALUDIVERSEX programme. The workshop was able to create a space in which the researchers, directors of occupational and residential centres, professionals who work closely with the participants, and the participants themselves were able to share their experiences, opinions and perceptions on the SALUDIVERSEX affective-sexual education programme.
