The SALUSEX Research Group presents the first edition of the Expert Course in Sex Therapy.
The objectives of this course are as follows:
- Acquire the basic abilities necessary for a sex therapist and learn the strategies and tools for the therapeutic assessment of and intervention in distinct sexual issues.
- Understand the diagnostic criteria, clinical characteristics, risk factors and intervention strategies indicated for the distinct sexual dysfunctions, paraphilic disorders and other disorders such as sex or cybersex addiction.
- Understand the principles and master the basic techniques of couples therapy.
The course will take place during the 2023/24 school year, from January to March, consisting of a total of 16.00 credits ECTS. The classes will be online with each session recorded and the activities can be completed throughout the week. In addition, there will be one hybrid session held each month, always on a Friday, dedicated to case analysis, which can be attended in person at the Faculty of Psychology from 3:30pm to 8:30pm This session will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend in person.
