After the successful first edition accomplished the task of uniting top researchers and professionals, both national and international experts in the study, prevention, and intervention in a variety of areas related to sexual diversity, the SALUSEX group held the 2nd International Conference on Sexuality online from 15 to 18 June 2021.
As was in the first edition, our goal is not only to address diversity related to sexual orientation and sexual identity focusing on sexuality in the LGBT+ community, but also the different ways in which sexuality manifests itself through out one’s life, sexuality in individuals with intellectual or physical functional diversity, and sexuality in specific groups like sex workers. In both editions, topics such as the influence of information and communication technologies on sexual expression, notably the relevance of current phenomena like cybersex. For this purpose, conferences, symposiums, round tables and workshops were held by leading national and international professionals.
In addition, the attendees were able to present their own research projects related to the themes addressed in the conference, participated in different capacities --oral presentation, posters and symposiums-- and the abstracts were collected in the Book of Abstracts.
