The University of Valencia, through ADEIT, is launching the 4th edition of the Master’s Degree in Sexuality, Sex Education and Sex Therapy, offering specialised training tailored to today’s challenges and coordinated by the Salusex research group

The University of Valencia, through ADEIT, has opened pre-registration for the 4th edition of the Master’s Degree in Continuing Education in Sexuality: Sex Education and Therapy for the General Population and Specific Groups, a pioneering educational programme that reinforces its commitment to rigorous, inclusive sex education based on scientific evidence.

The master’s programme, which will be delivered during the 2026/2027 academic year in a blended learning format, responds to the growing social and professional demand for specialists capable of addressing sexual health from a biopsychosocial perspective, taking into account gender and affective-sexual diversity. The programme is aimed at professionals and graduates from fields such as psychology, medicine, nursing, education, social work and social and health care.

With a course load of 60 ECTS credits, the programme combines online teaching with monthly hybrid sessions held at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Valencia, allowing students to balance their studies with their professional activities. Furthermore, classes are recorded and learning is complemented by multimedia materials, real-life case studies, gamification and practical activities aimed at developing professional skills.

The master’s programme covers areas of particular social and clinical relevance, such as affective and sexual education throughout the life cycle, sexual and gender diversity, the promotion of sexual health in specific groups, the prevention of sexual violence, sex and couples therapy, as well as psychological intervention in cases of sexual dysfunction, sexual assault or issues linked to the use of technology and digital relationships. The programme places particular emphasis on practical application and professional training for working in educational, healthcare and social contexts. 
The programme is led by Professors Rafael Ballester Arnal, from the Universitat Jaume I, and María Dolores Gil Llario, from the Universitat de València, and features a teaching team comprising renowned specialists in clinical psychology, sexology, sexual health and applied research. 
Pre-registration will remain open until 1 October 2026, and classes are scheduled to begin in October 2026.
