This conference is organized by the Research Project "The Criminal law of dangerousness: protection and guarantee of fundamental rights" (DER2017/86336-R). One of the axes of the Project is the relationship between criminal law and fundamental rights, always a complex matter but one in which in recent years tensions have been accentuated especially in some areas: freedom of expression, freedom of assembly and demonstration linked to the collective pursuit of political objectives, and the exemptions from criminal liability related to the prerogatives of inviolability or immunity derived from the exercise of public office. The Conference is conceived as a means of disseminating part of the results achieved in the Project, and at the same time as a forum for meeting with renowned specialists in the matters dealt with, in order to discuss and debate the aforementioned results.

The Conference will consist of three round tables followed by discussion, to be held on May 6 and 20, and June 3, from 18:00 to 20:00.

This activity is recognizable by the PhD programs in Law, Political Science and Criminology, and in Human Rights, Democracy and International Justice.

Registration is free of charge; however, it is essential in order to have access to the sessions. To register you must provide your full name and surname(s) and an e-mail address. This e-mail address will be used to confirm registration, send the link to follow the sessions, and send a certificate of attendance to those who request it, provided that they have attended 80% of the sessions (to verify this, it is essential that when accessing each session the attendees write their name as they did when registering for the Conference).

6th and 20th may & 3rd june, from 18.00 to  20.00h.
