On 25 September, the “International Legal Cooperation and New Technologies: Innovation and Challenges for Transnational Justice” Seminar will take place in the Faculty of Law at the Universitat de València, in the Department of International Law “Adolfo Miaja de la Muela” (3rd floor).
The Universitat de València hosts an academic session on international legal cooperation and new technologies.
The “International Legal Cooperation and New Technologies: Innovation and Challenges for Transnational Justice” activity will take place on 25 September 2026, from 12 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. It will gather specialists in International Law from Brazil and Spain.
The session will be undertaken by Professor Inez Lopes Matos, Associate Lecturer in International Law from the Universidade de Brasília, who will tackle the relation between international legal cooperation and new technologies, as well as the challenges and opportunities that implies its inclusion in the field of transnational justice.
Professor Guillermo Palao Moreno, Professor of International Private Law at the Universitat de València will participate as discussant.
The activity implies a space for reflection and discussion on the challenges that technologic transformation generates for the mechanisms of international legal cooperation and for the resolution of legal situations of transnational nature. In this context, the development of new technologies poses new questions for legal systems and for the relations of cooperation between authorities and institutions from different states.
