Sergio Belles Monserrat has a degree in Geography and Environment from the University of Valencia. He has postgraduate studies specializing in the management of mountain areas (University of Lleida) and the analysis of environmental problems (University of Barcelona).
Currently, he is a pre-doctoral researcher and is hired by the University of Valencia as part of the ACIF 2021 Program. He is also a member of the UDERVAL Research Group (GIUV2015-214) which is directed by Dr. Javier Esparcia and attached to the Interuniversity Institute of Local Development (IIDL).
His research work focuses on the study of depopulation processes in Valencian rural areas.
