As a result of the research project AICO (2021/225), two monologues by L.S. Phibbs translated into Spanish by group member Miguel Teruel Pozas in a performance by Paula Llorens (Cactus Teatre) will be staged at Sala Palmireno on 7 March 2023.

As a result of the research project AICO (2021/225), two monologues by L.S. Phibbs translated into Spanish by group member Miguel Teruel Pozas in a performance by Paula Llorens (Cactus Teatre) will be staged at Sala Palmireno on 7 March 2023. 

Following the performance there will be a post-show talk with Paula Llorens (actress and director), Miguel Teruel (Translator) and Laura Monrós-Gaspar (main researcher of the group).

The two monologues were first staged at Sala Matilde Salvador on 5 October 2022 during the conference "Women Staging and Restaging the Nineteenth Century" This is the first registered performance of the two monologues in Spain.

L. S. Phibbs wrote the two plays to be performed at suffragette meetings at the beginning of the twentieth century. What we know about Phibbs today has come down to us through indirect sources that record her active participation in the suffragette campaign.
