The proposed programme aims at providing an integrated prespective on how to operate in a changing, globalized and highly competitive business environment. The basic aim is to train managers, to satisfy the needs of small and medium-sized companies in our economic environment. This type of company is at the heart of employment opportunities and needs personnel with sound, multi-disciplinary training. Current technological evolution requires new professional skills for developing business management in companies which use specific analytical methods and technological tools in decision-making, requiring new knowledge, personal and social skills, strategic, organizational and planning capacity for the management of change.

To reach these general objectives, the programme has been structured to provide the knowledge, abilities and skills necessary to:

Develop and/or apply knowledge and technology in the context of business management, directed as much at activity planning as at its realisation and control.

Analyse and resolve management problems through the creation and validation of models suited to the different fields of business activity, such as production planning and control, inventory management, distribution and logistics or project management. Learn to work with the data which are available or possible.

  • Develop the ability to interpret quantitative information. Design the data collection and analysis process adequately.
  • Carry out and coordinate projects for technological improvement and innovation in management.
  • Propose and/or identify new technologies and evaluate their possible impact on current procedures.
  • Lead, integrate and coordinate multi-disciplinary work teams for the analysis and resolution of problems.
  • Be able to communicate results and conclusions from the models and solutions proposed in a way which is rigorous and clear to the rest of the company.
  • Be able to recognise the need for continuous learning and to tackle new problems with new tools over the course of a professional life.
