The programme aims to train professionals and researchers specialising in the field of translation and interpreting, taking advantage of the complementary nature of the studies offered by both universities. Due to the different distribution of undergraduate and master's degree programmes in the Italian (3+2) and Spanish (4+1) university systems, the programme includes the 4th year of the Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation for students at the University of Valencia.
- It is structured into two academic years:
- 1st year, to be taken at the Università degli Studi di Bergamo (1st year of the Laurea Magistrale in Lingue Moderne per la Comunicazione e la Cooperazione Internazionale), to be validated by the 4th year of the Degree in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation (in any of its itineraries: German, French or English).
- Second year, to be taken at the University of Valencia (Master's Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation).
- Implementation course: 2024-25.
- Working languages: one B language (German, French or English) and Italian (level B2).
- Number of places: 4 per university.
- Criteria for student selection:
- Average grade point average from the consolidated transcript of the Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation.
- A letter of motivation.
- An interview.
- Upon completion of this Double Degree Programme, students will have obtained three official degrees:
- Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation from the University of Valencia;
- the Master's Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation from the University of Valencia, and
- Master's Degree in Modern Languages for Communication and International Cooperation from the University of Bergamo.
- Participation in the programme is compatible with receiving international mobility grants (Erasmus programme).
