The Master’s degree aims to answer an obvious need for specialised training in the Valencian Community, which characterised by the solid international dynamism of its enterprises, as well as by the considerable presence of citizens from the European Union and other origins, whose linguistic needs must be solved by translators. Another factor that increases the scientific and professional interest of this master’s degree is the incorporation of translatology activities or translation functions that are more and more demanded by the social and business environment. We speak about the different modalities of audiovisual translation (subtitling, dubbing and voice-over), closed captioning and auto description. The master’s degree has a dual approach (professional profile and academic-researcher profile) and two possible specialities (English-Spanish or French-Spanish).
