When obtaining the degree, students will have specialised knowledge of the historical evolution and the configuration of the identities of Western Mediterranean societies during the Modern Age. They will also be able to explain the keys to this evolution, and to synthesise the different aspects studied in the Master's degree on the basis of historical documentation.

They will be able to propose and develop original projects of direct historical research, based on archival sources, and to carry out syntheses.

On the basis of the training acquired, they will be able to propose interpretations of the historical relations of the territories around the Western Mediterranean, which will help to understand the current context of growing human and economic connection. In the same way, they will be able to provide the necessary historical references for the management of interculturality in the European sphere.
