Tenured professor at the University of Valencia, Physical Education and Sports Department. Head of UIRFIDE (Sport Performance & Physical Fitness Research Group; GIUV 2013-140).

Academic CV: Head of department at Secondary level from 2010. PhD in Physical and Sports Education from the University of Valencia (2008). DEA and Postgraduate in Human Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine, University of Murcia (2003). Master in Sport High Performance, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid & Center for Higher Studies COE (2000). Degree in Physical and Sports Education, University of Valencia (1990). Secondary Teacher and vocational training from 1990 to 2010.

Sports CV: Elite Athlete in the Judo modality. 10 years member of the national judo team. Physical conditioning trainer of elite and Olympic athletes, Judo and Badminton modalities (1992 to 2018).

Currently, she combines her teaching tasks on sports training, fitness and physical conditioning, with research and writing tasks focused on Complex Systems in sports training, and specific training programs for older adults. In addition, she coordinates the Postgraduate Studies "Master of permanent training in Physical Conditioning, Improvement of health and Performance in the elderly", update of the previous editions on "Optimization of Training in the Elderly" (ADEIT / University of Valencia). Numerous publications, Theses, TFMs and TFGs have emerged from its Service Learning program around the Older Adults physical exercise training (socio-community strategies; hospital and primary care), togiether with a an adapted training methodology (EFAM-UV©, UVEG intellectual property), and a non-profit association of technicians specialized in the training of Older Adults EcM (Training with the elderly), Spin Off of this same University.

Member of the Sports Researcher Network of the CSD "Inmotusalus"; and the Scientific Commission of SEMEDE (Spanish Society of Sports Medicine).

Biography
 

Ferran Calabuig is associate professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport at the University of Valencia (UV) since 2002 mainly in football and sport management. His teaching is mainly done at the degree of physical activity and sport sciences of the UV. He also teaches in the Master of intervention and research as well as in the Master of sports management of the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. He also teaches in several masters of sport management in public and private universities in Spain. He has also taught at the Lithuanian Sports University (Kaunas) and at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Chile (Santiago de Chile). He has led and participated in several teaching innovation projects at the UV and other universities.

He leads the Sport Management and Innovation Research Group at the University of Valencia. The main lines of research deal with sports consumer behaviour, sports marketing and sports entrepreneurship. In particular, it is of interest the satisfaction and loyalty of users of sports centres and events. The entrepreneurial orientation of sports companies, the entrepreneurial intentions of students and the lifestyle entrepreneurship. Marketing and sponsorship in sport. The economic and social impact of sport. The dual career of the student-athlete and sports tourism.

He regularly participates in national and international seminars and congresses and belongs to several scientific societies on sport management. He also regularly publishes research results in prestigious national and international journals.

Alberto Encarnación Martínez graduated in Physical Education and Sports from the University of Valencia (Spain) in 2005, and obtained his PhD in Physical Education and Sports from the same university in 2012. He is currently a professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport. His line of research is focused on the analysis and biomechanical study of physical activity and sport. He is a member of the research group "GIBD" (Sports Biomechanics Research Group), where he participates in various projects and is the IP of technology transfer projects with companies derived from the sports machinery industrial sector.

Biography
 

I have a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences from the University of the Basque Country. I studied a master's degree in Sociology, History and Anthropology of Sport at the Paris-Descartes University. In 2017 I finished my doctoral thesis on the hidden curriculum in physical education and grassroots sports.

I have been teaching since 2015 at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, I am a member of the research group 'Physical Activity, Education and Society' of the University of Valencia and of the 'LGTBIQ+ Research Network, Physical Education and Sport'.

My lines of research are related with physical education and social justice, the situation of LGTBI people in physical activity and sport and the experiences in sport of vulnerable groups (women, people with disabilities, children and adolescents at risk of social exclusion, etc.), preferably through qualitative research, ethnography and participant observation.

During my research career I have carried out two research stays at the Paris Descartes University, France (2010 and 2013), one at the University of Reno-Nevada, USA (2012) and one at Monash University, Australia (2023).

I participate in the 'Soca-rel Critical Physical Education Seminar', I have given conferences and training, I participate in research projects at a national and international level and I publish and review articles in impact journals.

Bachelor in Physical Education, grade and doctorate in Psychology, grade in Medicine and màster degree in integrative medicine.  Author of several articles in indexed scientific journals (4 years of research granted by ANECA), communications and invited conferences in scientific congresses and seminars. He has written chapters in educational and research books. Editor of 2 compilation books of communications presented in scientific congresses. Director of 18 morè t'han 25 doctoral theses and other research projects in doctorate and master's degree in research. He has participated in 8 research projects subsidized by public entities, of which in three he has been the principal investigator. He has participated in the Organizing and Scientific Committee of 2 congresses, being in one of them also the president of the congress. He is also member of the Spanish Association of Sports Sciences. He has collaborated as a reviewer of several scientific journals such as: European Journal of Sport Science, Journal of Sport Psychology, International Journal of Sports Science (Ricyde), European Journal of Human Movement and Revista Mexicana de Psicología. He has received different recognitions such as the prize for the best communication in social sciences in the V Congress of Sports Sciences organized by the Spanish Association of Sports Sciences (León, 2008) and the prize for the best porter in the IX World Congress of Analysis of Sports Sports Performance (Worcester, 2012). He teaches at the University of Valencia the subject "Training of Technique and Tactics" in the Degree in Sports Science, and the subject "Research Designs" in the Master's Degree in Research. He is professor of the Behavior and Learning Area of ​​the common block of the coaches courses of the Ministry of Education, Research, Culture and Sports of the Generalitat Valenciana. He has been invited as a speaker in training courses for various sports federations.

Pedro Pérez Soriano is a Ph.D. Professor at the Department of Physical Education and Sport (University of Valencia, Spain). He was graduated in Physical Education and Sports from the University of Valencia, Spain, in 2000 and received his PhD in Physical Education and Sports from the same university in 2004. He is currently sports degree Vice Dean (University of Valencia, Spain).He manages “GIBD” (Research Group in Sport Biomechanics) with projects funded by public/private institutions. Most of his research projects have links with sports biomechanics, physical activity, particularly related to footwear/ foot insole sports and textile sport research. He has several national and international publications (JCR) under “Sport Sciences” category. Also, he has directed 4 books related to sports biomechanics and various chapters related with the same area.

His main research lines include investigation in the application of infrared thermography in sports science and biomedicine, the biomechanical analysis of sports such as running and cycling, and the assessment of sports equipment, mainly compression stockings and insoles.

Alexandra Valencia Peris, graduated in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (2008), Primary School Education (2009) by University of Valencia and PhD in Physical Education and Sports by University of Valencia (2013). She currently works as a Senior Lecturer, attached to the Department of Physical Education, Arts and Music of the Universitat de València. She is a member of the research group Physical Activity, Education and Society since 2007. Her research focuses on the areas of Physical Education, the promotion of active lifestyles in the school environment and Physical Education Teacher Education. In these areas she has participated in local, national and internattional research projects, where she has collaborated in different functions: project management, field work, statistical analysis and dissemination of results. She is also a member of the Network of Formative and Shared Assesmment in Education since 2011 and the International Research Network on Physical Education and Healthy Lifestyle Promotion since 2019. She has carried out different research stays in John Moores University of Liverpool, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Universidad de Zaragoza, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha i Universitat Jaume I de Castelló.
