Purpose: The territory around the ancient city of Carthage (Tunisia) has hardly been archaeologically investigated and the data we have come either from ancient written sources or from the urban archaeological record. This project aims to lay the foundations for the archaeological exploration of a territory currently undergoing major transformation due to the growth of the city of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, in order to compare the periods before and after the Roman conquest.

Purpose: The territories of the ancient city of Carthage and those framed between the Palancia and Júcar rivers share a series of geomorphological and cultural characteristics that, during the 3rd-1st centuries BC, with the Carthaginian expansion, the confrontation and defeat against Rome and the subsequent integration into the late Republic and the Roman Empire, invite a comparative study of the dynamics of occupation of the territory and the exploitation of natural resources in both contexts.

Purpose: To investigate the origin of stalactites and stalagmites found at the site of El Castellar de Casinos, exploring their possible origin in ritual caves in the territory of the Iberian city of Edeta and the importance of ritual travel between habitat sites and caves. It uses non-destructive techniques such as pXRF and LA-ICP-MS to analyze the elements of the samples and establish chemical relationships between the archaeological speleothems and the caves.
