Teaching seminar. 6–10 November
The purpose of this 20-hour seminar (5 theoretical and 15 practical hours) is to address the gap in the Classical Philology degree programme, which currently lacks the study and translation of Greek texts from the Christian period. The seminar will consist of monographic sessions that cover both theoretical and practical aspects of a representative text of this type literature, such as the Martyrdom of St. Catherine of Alexandria (BHG 30).
– This training activity is part of two research projects: ‘Literary topics and narrators in women’s martyrial literature’ (CIGE/2021/075), funded by the Valencian Government, and ‘Edition, Translation and Commentary of Acta Thomae’ (PID2019-111268GB-I00), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
– This seminar is part of the activities of the Ancient Religions and Cults Network (ARACNe, RED2022-134137-T), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
