Our research project aims to address the philological, literary, and social study of the reception of themes and motifs from ancient Greco-Latin literature in later literary traditions. To this end, we understand Greco-Latin literature broadly, including its later periods (that is, both Greek and Latin Christian literature, medieval Latin literature, Byzantine literature, and the Renaissance and humanistic realms), and we undertake the study of its reception up to the present day.
- Reception of classical literatures. Study of the reception of classical literatures in national literatures.
- Greek linguistics. Study of the linguistics of the Greek language, from proto-Greek to the present day.
- Greek rhetoric and stylistics. Study of Greek rhetoric and stylistics, both in terms of formal aspects and regarding studies surrounding both.
