The Research Group on the Reception of Classical Literature (GIRLC) is organising an interdisciplinary meeting to discuss the treatment of the supernatural. The discussion will cover a range of topics, from of mythological adventures to events considered miraculous from a Christian point of view. This meeting addresses the same problem as the previous editions in 2008 and 2009: the influence of ancient literature on medieval literature. Participants will first discuss the reception of Greek and Latin literature in national literatures. Then, they will focus on authors, works and specific texts of particular relevance. The main goals are to showcase the Group’s research on the reception of Latin and Greek literature in medieval Valencian literature, and to promote an inclusive research process that integrates the expertise and contributions of experts from diverse fields.
