A total of 28 audiovisual productions —videos, visual essays, and short films— are presented as the result of a collaborative creation methodology with a gender perspective, developed in the classroom within the GENERIZA teaching innovation project. These works, created by students of Audiovisual Communication at the University of Valencia and the Master’s Degree in Languages and Literatures for Teaching and Translation at Roma Tre University, are conceived as resources for awareness-raising and dissemination on gender equality, accessible to the public and applicable in academic, associative, and professional learning and outreach contexts.

Synopsis: Using an approach that adopts the gender perspective as an analytical tool, this work proposes a critical rereading of the literary canon, questioning its limits and exclusions. From that standpoint, it rescues from silence and marginalization the voices of female authors who, despite their relevance, have been historically invisibilized, thus offering a necessary reconsideration of literary history from more inclusive and plural parameters.
Synopsis: It deals with the gender gap in audiovisual production, focusing on the scarce presence of women behind the cameras, whether as screenwriters, directors or producers, and on how this inequality affects the creation of content. It seeks to make the existing gaps visible, analyse their causes and impacts, and promote inclusion and diversity in the industry, fostering the access and participation of more women in the audiovisual field.
Synopsis: While some sectors defend the adaptation of language as a tool for social change, others reject it for reasons of grammatical correctness or cultural resistance. Ultimately, this debate reflects a broader dispute about representation, power and the transformation of symbolic structures in contemporary Spanish society.
Synopsis: This short and dynamic video offers an introduction to the concepts of diversity and intersectionality, explaining their origins and development within social and feminist studies. Through everyday examples and testimonies, it explores how different identities —gender, race, class, sexual orientation, among others— are intertwined and shape our personal experiences. The goal is to show why an intersectional perspective is essential to understand current inequalities and to promote education in values of inclusion, respect and justice among new generations.
Synopsis: The video addresses gynaecological and obstetric violence, a phenomenon still little visible but present in our society. Its aim is to promote awareness and sensitivity about these forms of violence, through studies in different fields and the testimonies of two women who share their experiences as victims.
Synopsis: The video explores how artificial intelligence has intensified the sexualization and degrading treatment of women’s images, revealing a phenomenon that goes beyond technology to expose deep social inequalities. Through the eyes and actions of young people committed to awareness-raising and education on the ethical uses of new technologies, the work analyses the impact of recent cases of pornography generated through deepfake and the collective responses that seek to reflect, resist and educate in the face of this new form of digital violence.
Synopsis: The phenomenon of the “manosphere” is analysed, an online community that promotes a retrograde vision of masculinity and defends the idea of returning to men a supposedly lost power. Through the study of its main references and influences, it is revealed how these movements use social networks to spread anti-feminist messages and shape perceptions of gender and power in the digital era.
Synopsis: The video analyses the use of pseudonyms in literary history, exploring their motives, implications and meanings. From a contemporary point of view, it pays particular attention to women writers who, over time, were forced to hide their identity in order to publish and be heard in a context dominated by an androcentric vision.
Synopsis: It analyses how cancel culture affects women and men differently, focusing on the reasons behind cancellations and their consequences on personal and professional trajectories. Real cases are presented that reveal the discriminatory dimension of “cancel culture”, and proposals are put forward to promote a more critical and equitable attitude in society.
Synopsis: The video examines the aesthetic changes that have shaped the body throughout history, from non-invasive practices such as the use of clothing to intrusive procedures such as cosmetic surgery, analysing how these transformations reflect sociocultural values and pressures in different eras.
Synopsis: Women have been historically silenced in the artistic sphere and, in particular, in urban music, but feminist demands have had an impact on the emergence and empowerment of women in this genre, as well as on the fight against the machismo rooted in urban culture. Through a temporal journey, the piece invites reflection on the current role of women in urban music, posing questions about liberation and objectification.
Synopsis: It explores how social networks and stereotypes influence the construction of personal and collective identity, analysing how these dynamics affect self-image, relationships and social perception in the digital age.
Synopsis: It analyses the representation of gender roles in the video games The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario, contrasting the narratives they adopt depending on the gender of their protagonists. It explores the evolution and protagonism of the characters, their archetypal functions and the way they reproduce or challenge stereotypes.
Synopsis: The video addresses the participation of women in armed conflicts throughout history, highlighting their active role not only in support functions, but also as combatants, spies and leaders of resistance movements. This perspective emphasises the diversity of experiences and the agency of women in war scenarios.
Synopsis: It deals with the presence and role of women in organized crime, a field traditionally associated with men. Through different cases and testimonies, their motivations, strategies and forms of leadership are analysed, as well as the social and media representations that have shaped their image. The work invites reflection on gender, power and transgression in contexts where violence and illegality usually have a male face.
Synopsis: It addresses the social and political debate around prostitution in Spain, a controversial and complex issue marked by a lack of information and awareness. It analyses the different positions on its legalisation and regulation in a country that leads the consumption of prostitution in Europe and where there is a legal vacuum.
Synopsis: The video questions the traditional ideas that associate cars with boys and dolls with girls, and the colours blue and pink as signs of gender identity. Through a journey through the history and culture of children’s consumption, it analyses how these stereotypes originated, how they influence development and the perception of social roles, and what alternatives are emerging to transform play into a freer and more equal space.
Synopsis: This video addresses, from a critical perspective, the multiple forms of sexism present in the audiovisual industry and in everyday life. Its aim is to awaken public awareness and promote reflection on gender equality, encouraging a fairer, more respectful and more equitable view of representation in the media.
Synopsis: It analyses how video games shape our perception of gender and how they continue to reproduce traditional stereotypes. Through iconic examples such as GTA, FIFA or Tomb Raider, the sexist fixations of the industry are shown. In addition, it explores the role of women in the gaming environment where they still face discrimination and sexualization.

Synopsis: The male gaze has predominated in the audiovisual world since its beginnings. It is determined by standards that build an ambiguous reality, where women are represented as objects. However, thanks to the incorporation of women in cinema, this condition brings new representations of the female gender.
Synopsis: Feminism has profoundly transformed the role of women in society, driving their independence and redefining their life goals. However, it also faces challenges such as extremisms, prejudices and microaggressions.
Synopsis: This video analyses how the sexualization of women in many music videos has generated controversy and debate, especially in the most popular current styles. A reflection on the role and image of women in the audiovisual universe of music.
Synopsis: This video seeks to promote understanding and awareness among young people about the different realities that make up gender diversity. Through a historical overview and current examples, it analyses how the presence of trans people has been addressed in different sports disciplines and the debate around inclusion.
Synopsis: This video reflects on how beauty standards are constructed through advertising, the media and social networks, and how these models have changed over time. It analyses the consequences they generate, especially for women: aesthetic pressure, mental health problems and a constant demand for perfection.
