L'Aula d'Emprenedoria en Economia Social i Sostenible (AulaEmpresocial) holds its third conference of the cyle Otras maneras de hacer economía desde la sostenibilidad: economía, medioambiente e impacto social (Other ways of doing Economics from sustainability: economics, environment and social impact), aimed at university students at the Universitat de València.
The third conference took place on 19 September 2023 at Tarongers Campus aimed at Law students. This conference is focused on companies’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). To open the event and introduce the students to the concept of CSR, Antonia Sajardo, Professor of Applied Economics and member of AulaEmpresocial, gave a conference named Los perfiles de la RSC (The profiles of CSR) and Pilar Alguacil, Professor of Financial Law and director of AulaEmpresocial, showed the attendees how CSR and SDGs are included in companies’ activity through a conference named Los ODS y las empresas (SDGs and companies).
After that, José Ramón Cuesta from Rastro Solidario showed the Students what Rastro Solidario is and how his company implements good practices of CSR and SDGs. To conclude, Alicia Mas, Professor of Business Management and member of the Aula, conducted an interactive lecture with the attendees to evaluate the knowledge they had acquired, and Antonia Sajardo finished with a lecture titled RSC y sostenibilidad: empresa comprometida (CSR and sustainability: committed company).
